10 young artists participated in Performance Art 2008 in Hanoi

TPO – Ten excellent performance art works have been selected to participate in the Final Round of the 2008 Performance Art Talent Contest which will take place at 2 Hoa Lu, Van Ho, Hanoi at 7:00 p.m. on October 25. .

They are: Nguyen Van He (work The Siege);Le Quy Anh Hao (A story about images);Pham Van Truong (Question Marks);Nguyen Anh Tuan (Mature);Nguyen Huy An (Circular motion);Le Van Son (Flood);Pham Huy Thong (Happy Pigs);Nguyen Phuong Linh (Underwater);Tran Huynh Trieu An (Shadow – picture);Le Thi Minh Nguyet (Wait).

The talent contest organized by the Danish Embassy aims to encourage young talents in various artistic fields.

This year “performance art” was chosen as the theme due to the increasing importance of this art form in cultural life in Vietnam.

Through this talent award event, the CDEF Cultural Development and Exchange Fund hopes to find new, unique works and honor young artistic talents.

This year, the CDEF Foundation received 28 works from performance artists from all over Vietnam. The CDEF Jury selected 10 contestants and supported each person with 500 USD to perfect their artwork.

The audience will be the one to finally decide who is the winner and this decision will be announced right at this event on October 25. The artist with the best performance work will receive a prize worth 3,000 USD.

This award is an encouragement for talented artists to continue investing and creating new performance works.
